GLR: Hi, Jaida! Tell us more about your company!
Jaida Pervis (JP): I’m the Vice President of Select Date Society (SDS). We have many offices nationwide in the U.S – From New York City, Washington DC, Miami, Houston, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and many more!
GLR: What would you say your niche market is?
JP: SDS represents successful, high-quality, upscale professional singles, that have achieved success in every other aspect of their lives. They have now chosen to take a more proactive approach to achieve success in their personal lives as well.
GLR: What was your career before and why did you choose to change the industry?
JP: Before stepping into my dream career, I worked in Education at the University Level as a College Admissions Director. I chose to make a change because the passion I was seeking just was not there. A friend of mine suggested a position with a Matchmaking Company because I had been connecting people for most of my life. Both friends and family, many of which resulted in successful marriages. Finding something that you are passionate about is the key to success! From the day I applied, accepted, and began my journey I have never been happier, and have never looked back.
GLR: Last question – What’s the one thing you look forward to as a certified Matchmaker?
JP: Continuing to connect couples with finding that special person. Simply sharing in a client’s excitement, and happiness knowing that I have been a part of their path to love is extremely rewarding. Working within a community of like-minded individuals. The depth of experience from others provides invaluable support and resources which I believe will benefit my clients in the future.
